On August 1st, 2024, ij member firm Ho, Wong & Wong Solicitors completed their merger with the firm K B Chau & Co., Solicitors.

The resulting entity, operating under the K B Chau & Co., Solicitors & Notaries banner, will continue to offer the same high-level quality legal service to its clients, while increasing their scope and range of representation to include not only Hong Kong, but also many Mainland China locations. From a press release provided by KBC Consultant Mr. Duffy Wong:

"From 1st August 2024, Ho, Wong & Wong, Solicitors & Notaries (HWW) has merged with and been succeeded by K B Chau & Co., Solicitors & Notaries (KBC) as the ij International Jurists member firm in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Mr. Duffy Wong as a consultant, Mr. Chau Cham Kuen, Tony, as a partner and Ms. Lau Chee Ching, Melody as an associate and 2 paralegals from HWW have joined KBC. Duffy and Tony as before, together with Mr. Stephen Ho, a senior partner of KBC are the contact persons of KBC for the ij International Jurists liaison.

KBC, a full services law firm established in 1964, has its office located just a few blocks away from HWW’s former office, the Government headquarters and the High Court of Hong Kong in Admiralty, Hong Kong.

KBC has over 50 lawyers including 2 qualified Mainland China lawyers in its Hong Kong office. It has 4 joint venture law offices in Hengqin, Changsha, Yueyang and Xian, Mainland China. It has the talents to provide clients on the ground expertise in Hong Kong and Mainland China laws and practices.
